Cloudbook Everex Now Available in the Philippines

Posted by Reah

Got this from John Te of ADVANCE MICROSYSTEMS CORPORATION . I got too excited that I had to feature this right away. I’ve been meaning to buy an Asus EEE PC 900 but the 4GB hard drive is just too small. I know about the Cloudbook Everex way before but I wasn’t sure how much it’ll be sold here in the Philippines.

But now, AMC is offering the Cloudbook Everex for only P19,999! Beat that Asus! With the Everex’s 30GB hard drive, I am certain that more people will favor this over the EEE PC.

Here are the specs:
1.2GHz, VIA C7®-M Processor ULV, 512MB DDR2 533MHz, SDRAM, 30GB Hard Disk Drive, 7″ WVGA TFT Display (800 x 480), VIA UniChrome Pro IGP Graphics, VIA High-Definition Audio, 802.11b/g, (1) 10/100 Ethernet Port, (1) DVI-I Port, (2) USB 2.0 Ports, (1) 4-in1 Media Card Reader, (1) .3MP Webcam, (1) Headphone/Line-Out Port, (1) Microphone/Line-In Port, (1) Set of Stereo Speaker, (1) Touchpad, (1) 4-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery Read the rest of this entry »

Opera brings Google search to your pocket

Posted by Reah

Opera Web Browser recently made Google its default search engine. For seven years now, Google has been the first choice of most Opera Mini users. And with the fast-rising success of this mobile browser, what better way than to make the collaboration official.

Opera and Google believe that mobile web will go mainstream soon so as early as now, it would be good if users are treated to the convenience and quality of search results, of course, from Google using the Opera Mini browser.

To date, more than 100 million users agree that Opera Mini is much easier to use. Viewing Google the same was as on your desktop but while mobile is perhaps a good modern experience. Now, I wonder where this collaboration will lead mobile web next…
